The Economics Department has announced the 2019 Junior Prize Winners. Each year, the department awards a first, second, and third place prize. This year’s prize winners are:

First Prize: Nathaniel Hickok
Second Prize: Karen Wu
Third Prize: Isabella Haegg

The prizes are based on a student’s GPA averaged over all departmental courses taken by the end of the junior year, plus a student’s Junior Independent Work (JIW). The JIW grade counts as two courses. Graduate courses will be awarded an extra 1/3 in the calculation of GPA, as for departmental honors.
