Thursday, September 7, 2023 — The Bendheim Center for Finance is excited to announce that Arvind Narayanan, Director of the Center for Information Technology Policy at Princeton University and affiliated faculty member of BCF, has been named among the inaugural TIME100 AI list of the 100 most influential people in AI.

Along with Narayanan in the TIME100 AI list is his Ph.D. advisee, Sayash Kapoor. Both can be found on the cover of the TIME issue, alongside AI leaders like Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, and researcher at the Institute for Advanced Study and Policy Adviser, Alondra Nelson.

Together, Narayanan and Kapoor are working on a book on the topic of “How to recognize AI snake oil,” the subject of Narayanan’s viral 2019 talk.
