Thomas Sargent delivers 2022 Simpson Lecture

On October 24, Thomas Sargent visited Princeton University to deliver the 2022 Simpson Lecture. Sargent is a Professor of Economics at NYU and a 2011 recipient of the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. His lecture was titled “A p Theory of Government Debt and Taxes.”

Each fall, a leading economist is invited to deliver the prestigious Simpson Lecture on Princeton’s campus. The lecture is the flagship event of the Simpson Center for the Study of Macroeconomics. The Center was founded in 2015 with a generous gift from Louis A. Simpson and his wife Kimberly Querrey. Simpson earned his graduate degree at Princeton in 1960.
