The 2017 Simpson Lecture was by Robert E. (Bob) Hall, the Robert and Carole McNeil Joint Hoover Senior Fellow and Professor of Economics at Stanford University. Hall’s lecture was titled “The Pervasive Importance of Labor-Market Tightness in Macroeconomic Volatility.”
