Each year the Economic Theory Center welcomes several short-term visitors to Princeton. Visitors are generally here for a full week during an academic term and participate in research activities in the department, present a seminar, and also make an informal presentation/lecture to our graduate students. They also are available to meet with faculty and graduate students on an individual basis.
Guest Lecture Announcements
Professor Rohit Lamba, Pennsylvania State University, will give two guest lectures. Guest lectures will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 and Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in 217 Julis Romo Rabinowitz. Professor Lamba will discuss “Dynamic Mechanism Design.”
Professor Nageeb Ali, Pennsylvania State University, will give a guest lecture on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. in 217 Julis Romo Rabinowitz. Professor Ali will discuss “Adverse Selection in Political Economy.”
Professor Sylvain Chassang, NYU, will give a guest lecture on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in 217 Julis Romo Rabinowitz. Professor Chassang will discuss “Decision Theory and Experiment Design” based on work with Abhijit Banerjee and Erik Snowberg.
Professor Stefan Penczynski, University of Mannheim, will give a guest lecture on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. in 217 Julis Romo Rabinowitz. Professor Penczynski will discuss “Experiments with Incentivized Intra-Team Communication: Method, Applications and Challenges.”

Professor Hugo Sonnenschein, University of Chicago, will give a guest lecture on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 12:30-1:45 p.m. in 200 Fisher. Professor Sonnenschein will discuss “A Limit Theorem on the Efficiency of Bayesian Rubinstein-Type Bargaining with Many Items” with Matthew Jackson and Yiqing Xing (both Stanford).

Professor Kareen Rozen, Yale University, will give a guest lecture in the Behavioral Economics course (ECO 511) on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 9:00-10:30 am in Bendheim 317. Professor Rozen will discuss “Optimism and Pessimism.” It will center on / cover in particular her paper “Optimism and Pessimism with Expected Utility” (with David Dillenberger and Andrew Postlewaite) but maybe somewhat broader. This lecture is also open to any interested second-year-and-above students.
