IFC and Princeton University are hosting a conference titled “Resilience, Big Tech Platform and Capital Market Development” from April 11 (12 p.m.) to April 12 (12 p.m.), 2025, in Princeton. The conference will bring together academics, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss various topics, including resilience in microfinance, capital market financing, and platform lending. One of the key discussions will be on how trading platforms can provide loans without collateral through their payment systems, which can benefit small businesses in emerging markets. Additionally, the conference will explore ways to deepen domestic capital markets to enhance private investment and support productive firms, along with necessary policy or regulatory measures to foster capital market development. The conference is invitation only.
