On April 15, University of Chicago Professor Magne Mogstad will deliver the 2021 Uwe Reinhardt Distinguished Lecture. Mogstad will discuss his paper “Inference for Ranks with Applications to Mobility across Neighborhoods and Academic Achievement across Countries,” co-authored by Joseph P. Romano, Azeem Shaikh and Daniel Wilhelm
Magne is the Gary S. Becker Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago. He is an extraordinarily prolific researcher with a broad portfolio of impressive accomplishments. One of the hallmarks of Magne’s work is his ability to find creative ways to achieve credible identification in the context of important economic questions and policy issues.
